💪 Iowa's Logan Ogden Inducted as Master Strength & Conditioning Coach
Logan Ogden, Director of Men's Basketball Athletic Performance at the University of Iowa, was inducted as a Master Strength and Conditioning Coach at the MSCC Dinner and Ceremony on Tuesday in Fort Worth. Only 380 individuals have ever earned the distinction. To qualify, a coach must hold the CSCCa's SCCC certification, work full-time at the collegiate or professional level, and log a minimum of 12 years in the field.
Ogden has 15 years of experience across six institutions — South Dakota State, Augustana, Nebraska Omaha, Utah State, Utah, and now Iowa. Read More
🏋️♀️ Nicole Jimenez Hired as Assistant S&C Coach at USF Women's Basketball
Nicole Jimenez has been hired as Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for South Florida women's basketball, head coach Kristy Curry announced Tuesday. Jimenez comes from Missouri State, where she led strength and conditioning for women's basketball and women's golf across four seasons — the team hit 20 wins each year, made back-to-back NCAA Tournaments, and won a Conference USA championship in 2025-26. Before Missouri State, she held roles at Sacred Heart and interned at UConn. Read More
🏈 AFCA Board Proposes Four Changes to College Football Calendar
The American Football Coaches Association announced four proposed changes to the college football calendar Tuesday: eliminating conference championship games, cutting open weeks from two to one, keeping an exclusive Army-Navy window while allowing postseason games the same day, and reducing the minimum days between games to six.
AFCA executive director Craig Bohl said the transfer portal — which runs Jan. 2–16 — is a primary driver, as teams deep in the CFP currently go weeks between games. The AFCA does not control the calendar but wants to spur conversation. Read More
