🏆 Jaguars Named NFL Performance Team of the Year
The Jacksonville Jaguars strength and conditioning and performance science staffs were named Alvin Roy NFL Performance Team of the Year by the Professional Football Performance Coaches Association.
Director of Strength and Conditioning Eric Ciano and his staff—Paul Jackson, Lanier Coleman, Julian Whitehead, Will Wynkoop, Trevor Heitz, Andy Koch, Christopher Bach, and Chris Beaulaurier—were recognized for maximizing player performance and improving player health. It marks the second time Ciano has been recognized by the PFPCA—he was named NFL Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year in 2019 with the Buffalo Bills. 🏈 NCCU Hires Stallworth as Strength Coach
North Carolina Central hired Dr. Thomas Stallworth II as strength and conditioning coach. Stallworth spent seven seasons in the NFL—two with the New York Giants (2018-2019) and five with the Atlanta Falcons (2020-2024). His coaching career began at South Carolina State as head strength coach from 2004-2008, followed by stops at Grambling State, Mississippi State, N.C. State, Texas Tech, Fresno State, and Western Kentucky.
Stallworth was a linebacker at Tennessee from 1997-2001 and was a member of the Volunteers' 1998 national championship team. He earned a doctorate in sport and performance psychology from the University of Arizona Global Campus in 2021. Read More
