📚 Strength Training Boosts Academic Performance

A study of over 67,000 students found that muscle-strengthening exercise (push-ups, sit-ups, weightlifting) was associated with better academic performance across all subjects. Peak benefits appeared at 4-5 days per week: up to 39% better in Math, and 31% in English. Even 1 day per week showed an 11% increase in performance.

Wallace's point: "No supplement, no diet hack, no training program outperforms sleep at keeping systems online." You can't outwork bad sleep. Read More

📱 My Jump Lab Validated for Nordic Hamstring Testing

The IUSCA's International Journal of Strength and Conditioning published validation for the My Jump Lab smartphone app in measuring break point angle (BPA) during the Nordic Hamstring Exercise. Testing 24 participants, results showed very high correlation (r > 0.9) with kinematic analysis and excellent inter-rater reliability (ICC > 0.9). Coefficient of variation was ≈1% with standard error under 1.3 degrees.

The app offers a valid, reliable, and portable alternative to isokinetic dynamometry for hamstring assessment. Read More
