🏆 Tommy Moffitt Named ITL Power 4 Strength Coach of the Year
Tommy Moffitt, Texas A&M's director of football strength and conditioning, won the Inside the League (ITL) Power 4 Strength Coach of the Year award. The honor, now in its third year, recognizes the coach who is most professional and helpful to NFL scouts and personnel across the country.
Moffitt joined A&M in 2024 with 30+ years of experience, including 3 national titles and multiple S&C coach of the year honors. He's helped guide the Aggies to a 19-7 record over two seasons, including an 11-2 mark and the program's first College Football Playoff appearance last season. The Aggies climbed to No. 3 in the CFP rankings and finished No. 8 nationally. Read More
🏀 Inside SEMO Basketball's Intense S&C Program
SEMO men's basketball is 9-1 in their last 10 games, and Todd Reidel (Assistant Director of Sports Performance) is a big reason why.
Reidel leads both basketball teams and baseball in workouts that simulate on-court action—high heart rates, balance, hand-eye coordination, flexibility, strength. "It's intense in here. We get after it... I will push them, and we will dominate simple." Freshman Trace Sadler gained 17 lbs in his first year (203→220 lbs) through increased lifting and calories. Senior David Idada noted the shift from bodybuilding-style lifting to functional court work: "It's not just bicep curling." Full-team lifts build chemistry and help players push through tough workouts together. Read More

The Arizona Cardinals haven't announced their strength and conditioning staff under new head coach Mike LaFleur. GM Monti Ossenfort said at the NFL combine: "We're still working through that. We'll have some clarity here soon."
The Cardinals suffered a ridiculous number of injuries last season. Ossenfort: "We're looking at everything—our training staff, our S&C staff, how we train players, how we treat players. Last year was tough. There are two things that suck about life in the NFL—injuries and losing, and we suffered a lot of both." The team is evaluating how to structure practice and training when players return in April. Read More
