🏀 CMJ-RE Benchmarks for College Hoops
A study in the International Journal of Strength and Conditioning analyzed countermovement rebound jump (CMJ-RE) data from 96 Division I men’s basketball players across seven Power Five programs.
Researchers found CMJ-RE to be a reliable alternative to the drop jump for assessing reactive strength, with published normative percentile ranges coaches can reference. The edition will also dive deeper into newer research on mental health, injury impact, nervous system prep, and vaping. Bottom line: same foundation, but more modern context for today’s coaching landscape. Read More
